Forget 'Em Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    dash of salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Beat egg whites (at room temperature) at high speed of an electric mixer until foamy; add salt. Gradually add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating until stiff peaks form.
    Fold in vanilla, chocolate morsels and pecans into beaten egg whites.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto aluminum foil-lined cookie sheets.
    Place in oven and immediately turn off heat.
    Do not open oven door for at least 8 hours.
    Carefully remove from aluminum foil.
    Yields about 3 dozen.
