Surprise Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
    1 c. flour, sifted
    2 tsp. rum extract
    1/2 c. maraschino cherries, drained
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Stir in flour, rum extract and nuts; blend well. Wrap a tablespoon of dough around each cherry.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake for 25 minutes, cool slightly.
    Roll in additional powdered sugar and finely chopped nuts.
