Pecan Cookie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix (save 2/3 c.)
    1/2 c. soft margarine
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar (light or dark)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. corn syrup
Preparation
    Mix cake mix (save 2/3 cup), margarine and 1 egg until moist. Press flat into 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned.
    Mix sugar, remaining eggs and vanilla together.
    Add corn syrup and 2/3 cup dry cake mix.
    Lightly stir in pecans.
    Pour this filling over browned crust.
    Return to oven. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Let cool and cut into bars.
