Ingredients

2 c. sugar
5 Tbsp. coca
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
3 c. quick cooking oats
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. flaked coconut (optional)
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Combine sugar and cocoa in a 2-quart boiler.
Stir in milk and butter.
Cook until mixture comes to a rolling boil; stir well. Continue to cook on high for 1 minute.
Remove mixture and stir in vanilla.
Add oats; mix thoroughly.
Add coconut and nuts (optional).
Drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper.
Place in refrigerator to set.
