Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter (soft)
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 1/4 c. flour (unsifted)
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy in a large mixing bowl.
    Add eggs; beat well.
    Combine flour, baking soda and salt.
    Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture.
    Beat well.
    Stir in chips and nuts, if desired. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet.
    Makes 6 dozen.
