Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. soft shortening
1 c. mashed bananas
2 eggs (unbeaten)
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
In another large bowl put shortening and sugar.
Cream together until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Mix in mashed bananas.
Add flour mixture, about 1/4 at a time.
Mix until smooth each time.
Mix in nuts and pour into a greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 50 minutes or until bread is browned and pulls slightly away from sides of pan.
Let stand in pan 5 minutes.
Cool before slicing.
