Fried Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 fresh ears white corn
    1/4 c. butter
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    3/4 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cut corn from cobs and scrape cobs to remove all milk.
    Heat butter and bacon drippings in a medium saucepan until hot.
    Add corn, water, salt and pepper.
    Cook uncovered over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
    Cover; reduce heat and simmer 10 to 12 minutes.
    Stir frequently.
    Serves 10.
