Dutch Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. margarine or butter, softened
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 to 3 McIntosh or Winesap apples
cinnamon/sugar mixture

Preparation

Mix sugar, egg and butter together thoroughly.
Stir in milk. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together.
Spread batter in a greased and floured 9-inch square pan.
