Sweet Potato Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 sweet potatoes
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
    3/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. heavy cream
    1/4 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cook sweet potatoes; peel and slice crosswise, about 3/8 inch thick.
    Spread in a buttered, large but shallow baking-serving dish.
    Cut butter into flour and brown sugar.
    Add pepper, cream and nuts; mix well.
    Sprinkle over potato slices.
