Crispy Fried Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. okra
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    oil
Preparation
    Wash okra and drain well.
    Remove tip and stem.
    Cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
    Add egg to okra and toss to coat.
    Combine cornmeal, salt and pepper.
    Dredge okra.
    Deep fry in hot oil at 375\u00b0 until golden brown.
