Never-Fail Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. cold water
    3 egg whites
    1/2 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Blend cornstarch
    and cold water; add boiling water and stir until thick
    and clear.
    Beat egg whites until foamy, add sugar, then beat
    until stiff, but not dry.
    Add salt, vanilla and cornstarch mixture\tand beat well.\tSpread on pie and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until brown.
