Holiday Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 (8 3/4 oz.) can sliced peaches, drained and chopped
    3 oranges, peeled and sectioned
    1 large apple, cored and chopped (unpeeled)
    1 banana, chopped
    1/2 c. maraschino cherries, halved and drained
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 egg yolk, beaten
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. miniature marshmallows
    1 c. frozen whipped topping
Preparation
    Combine egg yolk, sugar, vinegar and butter in a small saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
    Remove from heat; add marshmallows, stirring until melted.
    Cool.
    Stir in whipped topping.
    Pour dressing over fruit; toss gently until well coated. Yield:
    8 servings.
