Texas Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. medium ground corn meal
    1/2 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Sift corn meal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Combine egg, oil and milk; add to dry ingredients.
    Mix until smooth.
    Pour into greased 9-inch square pan, 10-inch iron skillet or 12-muffin tin.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
