Walnut Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed ripe bananas (2 to 3 medium)
1 Tbsp. milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Beat in bananas and milk.
Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Stir in nuts.
Pour into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 65 to 70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
Yield:
1 loaf.
