Turtle Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 box German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. softened margarine
1 c. chopped nuts
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate bits
Preparation

Unwrap caramels and add 1/3 cup of evaporated milk in a double boiler.
Stir mixture until melted.
Combine cake mix, remaining milk and softened margarine.
Blend until mixture holds together. Stir in nuts.
Press 1/2 of the cake mix into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 6 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Remove pan from oven.
Sprinkle chocolate pieces on top.
Pour melted caramels over top evenly. Crumble remaining mixture over caramel mixture and bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
Cool completely and cut into bars.
Garnish top with a few chocolate bits and nuts.
