Granny'S Pudding Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. liquid (milk or water)
    2 whole eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
    Make a well in dry ingredients and add shortening and liquid.
    Beat slowly until mixed, then beat faster for 2 minutes, then add eggs and vanilla.
    Beat 2 more minutes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes in a tube pan.
