Cabbage Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    2 large carrots, shredded
    1 c. sugar, divided
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 Tbsp. Nature's Seasons
Preparation
    In a large bowl, layer cabbage, onion, bell pepper and carrots.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup of sugar over the vegetables; set aside.
    In a saucepan, combine vinegar, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, oil and Nature's Seasons.
    Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes. Let cool.
    Pour mixture over vegetables.
    Cover and refrigerate 24 hours.
    Stir well before serving.
    (For a juicier salad, double the amounts of ingredients used in vinegar mixture.)
    Makes 24 servings.
