Gage'S Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    3 eggs
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. blackberry jam
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine shortening, sugar and eggs. Add jam and mix well. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk. Pour into layer pans and bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
