Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. milk
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients and cut in shortening.
Add beaten egg and milk and mix well.
Put in muffin tins and bake at 400\u00b0 until browned.
Makes 12 and that depends on the size of the muffin tin. Good with any fresh fruit, especially strawberries.
