Louisiana Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. shortening
4 onions, chopped
6 stalks celery, chopped
1 bay leaf
2 cloves garlic, chopped
pinch of thyme
2 lb. shrimp, deveined
1 pt. oysters and liquid
2 c. crabmeat
3 cans tomato sauce
cooked rice (optional)
Preparation

Brown flour in hot shortening in a Dutch oven, stirring until smooth.
Combine all
ingredients and let simmer.
Serve over cooked rice.
