Ingredients

1 cake yeast or pkg.
1 c. milk
3 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. Crisco
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
fat (for frying)
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Add 1 1/2 cups flour and beat until smooth. Cover and let stand until double in bulk (2 hours).
