South Carolina Scotties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 stick oleo
    1 beaten egg
    1 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Combine in top of double boiler the brown sugar, white sugar and oleo.
    After this is heated and mixed well, take off and cool. Add the remaining ingredients.
    Bake in greased and floured 8-inch square pan for 30 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Cool before cutting.
