Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. corn meal
    3 eggs, separated
Preparation
    Heat milk to scalding.
    Add butter and salt slowly.
    Stir in corn meal.
    Boil gently for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Cool 5 minutes; then stir in well beaten egg yolks. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Pour into greased 5 cup casserole and bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Serve spooned from dish with butter.
    Makes 5 servings.
