Macadamia Yokan - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks white kanten
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. koshian or 1 (1 lb.) can tsubushian
    1 c. Macadamia nuts
Preparation
    Tear kanten into
    pieces; soak in water for 30 minutes. Cook until dissolved.
    Add
    sugar
    and
    salt; stir until sugar dissolves.\tAdd
    koshian; cook over medium flame until mixture comes to a boil.
    Add
    nuts.
    Pour into an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Cool.
