Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. corn meal
1 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 egg, well beaten
2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
-
Mix and sift together first 5 ingredients.
Add milk, egg and shortening.
Bake in shallow buttered 8 x 8-inch pan at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Can bake in muffin pan if desired.
