Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light Karo syrup
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

In saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup, salt, and 1.2 c. of water.
Cook to hard boil stage (260 degrees), boiling about 20 minutes stirring until sugar dissolves.
Meanwhile, beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
Pour syrup over stiff egg whites, beating at high speed with an electric mixer.
Add vanilla and beat until the candy hold it's shape.
Spoon onto waxed paper. Makes 40 pieces.
