1 box brown sugar
1 box raisins
1 c. vegetable shortening or margarine
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 to 1 tsp. allspice
1 c. hot water or coffee
1 Tbsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
Preparation

Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan (greased and floured).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
