Old-Fashioned Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 c. light molasses
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. hot water
3/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Sift flour, cinnamon and salt; set aside.
Cream shortening and sugar until light.
Add eggs and molasses.
Dissolve soda in hot water and add to creamed mixture.
Stir in dry ingredients and chill for easier handling.
Roll into balls (tablespoon).
Place on a greased sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
