Lettie'S French Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. flour (bread flour is best)
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    3 Tbsp. Crisco
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 tsp. salt
    3 c. warm water
Preparation
    Mix all
    the
    ingredients together in large pan.
    Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
    Let rise for 1 1/2 hours in warm
    place, covered;
    then punch and work down every 15 minutes, six times.\tDivide dough into 3 portions and shape into loaves. Put
    in greased pans or cookie sheet.
    Cover and let rise again. Bake
    at
    350\u00b0
    for 35 to 45 minutes or until done.
