Harvest Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. diced cooking apples (Stamen, Rome or York)
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. cooking oil
    2 eggs
    1 c. black walnuts
    mixed fruit (if desired)
Preparation
    Dice apples.
    Mix well with sugar; let stand for 1 hour.
    Add flour, soda, salt, vanilla, oil, eggs, walnuts and fruit.
    Mix well.
    Pour into baking pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 to 55 minutes.
