Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion, diced
    3 oz. chopped green chilies
    2 small cans tomato sauce
    2 tsp. salt
    6 tsp. chili powder
    dash of black pepper
    6 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn
    1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    4 c. cold water
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cook ground beef until all pink is gone; drain any grease. Add chopped onion.
    Cook until it is clear.
    Add remaining ingredients and simmer.
    In a large saucepan, put 4 cups cold water, cornmeal and salt.
    Bring to a boil; cook until the mixture is slightly thick.
    Add butter; stir it in until melted.
    Put meat mixture in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Spoon cornmeal mixture over meat mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
