Pecan Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese, softened
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 egg
    3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Blend cream cheese and 1/2 cup butter.
    Stir in flour and chill 1 hour.
    Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Roll dough into 24 (1-inch) balls and press into 1 1/2-inch muffin tins.
    Beat egg, brown sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, vanilla and salt together.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans on dough in tins.
    Add egg mixture and sprinkle with remaining nuts.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 about 25 minutes or until set.
    Cool in pans.
    Makes 24 tarts.
