Never Fail Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. white sugar
    1 c. Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    3 c. raw peanuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. butter
    2 tsp. soda, dampened in a small amount water
Preparation
    Boil sugar, syrup and water until it spins a thread.
    Then add peanuts and stir continually.
    After peanuts are added, cook until it turns a light yellow.
    Remove from heat.
    Add soda, salt and butter.
    Spread thin on buttered cookie sheet.
    Break into pieces.
