Pattie'S Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 egg whites
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
3 Tbsp. water
1/2 pt. whipping cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff. Add sugar, vanilla and nuts. Pour into an 8-inch greased pie pan. Mold sides up to form a pie shell. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 minutes. Melt chocolate in water and cool. Beat whipping cream until thick. Mix vanilla into cooled chocolate and fold together with whipped cream. Pour into cooled meringue pie shell. Chill.
