Malakoff(Cool, Summer Dessert) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    ladyfingers (enough for several layers)
    milk (for dipping lady fingers)
    2 eggs
    3/4 to 1 c. milk
    2 to 3 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 lb. unsalted butter
    3 to 4 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. raspberry jam (without seeds) or raspberry syrup
    juice of 1 lemon
    1/2 carton whipped heavy cream
    4 oz. blanched ground almonds
Preparation
    Mix 2 whole eggs with milk, sugar and cornstarch.
    Mix cold and cook until thick (like a pudding).
    Stir constantly to avoid lumps.
    Cool.
