Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder (double action)
3/4 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar (packed)
6 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 c. bananas (2 or 3 mashed)
3 eggs
1 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar; add 3/4 cup shortening, brown sugar and buttermilk.
Add bananas, eggs and vanilla; beat for 1 minute.
Fold in 3/4 cup chopped pecans dusted with flour.
Bake in a tube pan.
Make a thick paste of confectioners sugar and enough sour cream to dribble over cake for frosting.
