Healthful Date Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates, snipped
1 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 slightly beaten egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped almonds
Preparation

In a medium bowl, combine dates and raisins.
Pour boiling water over mixture.
Set aside to cool slightly.
Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
