Congealed Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c boiling water
    2 large boxes cherry jello
    1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple including juice
    1 large can pie cherries
    1 8 oz sour cream
    1 8 oz pkg cream cheese softened
    1/2 c chopped pecans
    1/4 c sugar (confectioners)
Preparation
    Mix together gelatin, boiling water and juice from crushed pineapple.
    Stir slowly until blended.
    Add can of pie cherries and 1/2 of the crushed pineapple.
    Stir slowly until blended. Place into 9 x 12 inch pyrex dish and let set.
    Mix softened cream cheese with sour cream until smooth. Add sugar.
    Add chopped pecans and pineapple and blend together.
    Spread on top of gelatin.
