Ingredients

1 lb. dates
2 c. pecans
4 oz. candied cherries
2 slices green pineapple
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cut up fruit and nuts.
Mix flour and sugar, fruit and nuts. Beat egg whites until they stand in peaks.
Add to mixture with vanilla and salt.
Mix and chill in refrigerator.
Drop by teaspoon or form into small balls on greased cookie sheet. Flatten each cookie.
Bake 12 or 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
