1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Mix margarine or butter and sugar in a large bowl until smooth and creamy. Stir in beaten eggs and peanut butter.
Mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well. Shape into 1-inch balls and place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Flatten by pressing crisscross with tines of fork. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on baking sheet 2 to 3 minutes before removing with spatula.
Makes 5 dozen cookies.
