Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices white bread
    1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (6 oz.)
    1 can asparagus tips or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen asparagus
    1 c. diced fully cooked ham
    6 beaten eggs
    3/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 3/4 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    With 3-inch biscuit or doughnut cutter, cut one round from each slice of bread. Set rounds aside. Tear remaining bread scraps into 1-inch pieces; spread evenly in a 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Sprinkle the Cheddar cheese evenly over the bread. Then layer the asparagus over the cheese. Combine the cooked ham and chopped onions and layer this mixture over the asparagus. Arrange the bread rounds on the top.
