Oven Dills - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    1 qt. vinegar
    1/2 c. salt (pickling)
    1/2 tsp. alum
Preparation
    Pack pickles in jars.
    Boil ingredients listed and pour over pickles, 1 clove garlic and 2 dill sprigs.
    Tighten lids.
    Bake at 225\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Set jars on jelly roll pan in oven in case of breakage.
