Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 2 1/2 lb. round steak
2 Tbsp. flour
3 Tbsp. salad oil
2 large onions, thinly sliced
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, sauce or soup
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

About 3 1/2 hours before coat meat with flour.
Pound with saucer.
In hot salad oil, brown meat on both sides in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions, etc.
Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low.
Cover and simmer 3 hours, turning once. Serve over hot noodles, rice or potatoes.
