Puffy French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. milk
    1 beaten egg
    8 slices bread
Preparation
    Sift
    together\tdry
    ingredients.
    Blend
    milk and egg. Add to flour mixture and beat until smooth.
    Dip bread slices into batter,
    turning
    to
    coat slices evenly.
    Fry in greased skillet until golden brown on both sides.
