Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 lb. mushrooms
    1 onion, sliced
    1 1/2 lb. round steak or leftover roast
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. stock
    1 tsp. brown gravy flavoring
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Cook mushrooms and onion in butter for 3 minutes.
    Remove and add floured 1 1/2-inch strips or chunks of beef.
    Add more butter or shortening, if necessary.
    Brown quickly.
    Add 2 cups stock or bouillon cubes and water.
    Add mushrooms, onion and gravy flavoring.
    Cover tightly and cook 1 hour or until meat is tender. Ten minutes before serving, stir in sour cream.
    Serve with noodles or mashed potatoes.
