Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    3/4 c. light corn syrup
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/4 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl. Beat in eggs, syrup and vanilla.
    Stir in pecans.
    Pour filling into unbaked pie shell.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 5 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 325\u00b0 and bake for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
    Cool to room temperature before cutting.
    Makes 1 (9-inch) pie.
