Ingredients

10 large egg whites (room temperature)
4 c. granulated sugar
2 lb. almonds, ground fine
1 1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon
3 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
2 c. flour
3/4 c. coarsely ground nuts
1 pkg. tiny chocolate bits
2 tsp. unsweetened cocoa
2 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
slivered almonds for decoration
Preparation

Beat at low speed 8 of the egg whites and granulated sugar for 4 minutes or until the sugar is dissolved.
Stir in ground almonds, cinnamon, flour, chocolate bits, lemon juice and cocoa.
Chill for 2 hours.
Put rounded teaspoonful of dough 1 inch apart on greased baking sheets.
