Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can sour pitted cherries, undrained
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 box cherry jello
    1 small can crushed pineapple, undrained
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix cherries, sugar and jello.
    Cook in saucepan until comes to a boil.
    Let it cool and then add pineapple and nuts.
    Stir well and refrigerate.
    (May wish to use potato masher and mash cherries after cooking for better consistency.)
