German Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 lb. potatoes
2 small onion
1 lb. bacon
bacon grease
1 c. vinegar
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 heaping Tbsp. flour
2 c. water
Preparation

Boil potatoes; peel and slice when cool enough.
Chop onions fine; add to warm potatoes.
Dice bacon and fry crisp.
Remove from grease and put on the warm potatoes.
To the grease, add the flour and brown slightly.
Add the rest of the ingredients and boil until thick.
Pour over potatoes and stir well.
Best if served warm.
This will serve 15 to 20 people.
