Spoon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pt. sweet milk
6 Tbsp. margarine
1 c. corn meal
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs, room temperature, separated
Preparation

Scald milk (do not boil).
Stir in margarine, cornmeal and salt.
Cook, stirring constantly, until cornmeal comes away from sides of pan and thickens.
Set aside.
Cool to lukewarm.
Add beaten egg yolks and mix well.
Fold in beaten egg white. Mix gently but thoroughly. Pour into a greased, floured baking dish. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour.
